The Renaissance Charter School is looking for an enthusiastic, curious individual unafraid of digging into data to help our schools combat pandemic-related learning loss. Help make a difference to a vibrant 26-year public charter school and its struggling community by helping the school use their nationally-known student information system to full advantage.
Through a one-year contract with Americorps, we will be creating a position called Student Information Specialist, who will work with School Management Team administrators and administrative assistants to delve into our state-of-the-art student information system to create reporting structures to help us make individualized responses to support at-risk students. This position will entail some data input, but we will be looking for someone who can help develop a sustainable system of user-friendly reports. The student information system we will be using is used in schools nation-wide and learning this system will be a valuable professional skill to add to a resume. It is also relatively new to Renaissance personnel, but the VISTA will be working alongside people who will train and support them, with opportunities for professional development and experience that can make the VISTA highly employable in a variety of administrative positions. This job can be conducted virtually or on site.
Beyond the salary, the VISTA worker will also be compensated at the end of the job with either $1,800 or $6,195 paid towards student loans. THere are also travel expenses that will cover relocation expenses and Americorps will give resources needed to complete the jobs, such as a phone, computer, printer and the like.
