A CASA Advocate is assigned by the Juvenile Court Judge to one case involving child abuse and neglect. The advocate gathers information on the children, monitors compliance with court orders, and advocates for the child by being their "voice in court." Presence in court is not mandated, but the advocate helps prepare the court report for the judge.
