Primary duties and responsibilities include:
1. Design, manage, and maintain Texas RioGrande Legal Aid’s website. 2. Use visual design skills to conceptualize, create and produce visually appealing designs for the organization, such as graphics, infographics, and video. 3. Implement brand consistency across communication collateral, including elements for the organization as a whole, as well as for specific initiatives and programs. 4. Assist the Development Team, Communications Director, and Director of Analytics with design and content development needs. 5. Assist staff with design and development of newsletters, event invitations, and other promotional materials. 6. Other duties as assigned.
1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design or related field. 2. Two to five years’ related experience. 3. 2+ years of experience in graphic design, web development, and social media management. 4. Ability to design using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, InDesign). 5. Strong knowledge of SquareSpace. 6. Solid understanding of user interface, visual design, site architecture, and web page optimization techniques as well as a strong understanding and appreciation of Web Standards and Web Accessibility principles. 7. Proficiency with basic digital photography and video shooting and editing. 8. Knowledge of HTML and CSS or other web development software a plus.
