The Education and Community Engagement Department provides audiences of all ages with opportunities to engage with the museum’s permanent collection and special exhibitions. The museum’s award-winning education and community engagement initiatives serve 180,000 students, families, and teachers in D.C. and across the country each year. The department also supports The Phillips Collection's new campus at Town Hall Education Arts Recreation Campus (THEARC) providing arts-infused services promoting wellness in Southeast Washington, DC.
The Education and Community Engagement Intern will gain meaningful, hands-on experiences in art museum interpretation and learning, while supporting the department’s needs and initiatives.
