The Engagement Manager position is responsible for developing long-term relationships with SIYLI customers to bring the Search Inside Yourself program to organizations to support people to manage stress, enhance well-being, and improve collaboration and leadership. This role will have revenue/margin responsibilities based on inbound requests from potential clients, and will also assess outbound opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains relationships with SIYLI clients
- Qualifies and responds to a variety of inbound sales leads from around the world and across all business sectors
- Prospects and builds a pipeline of new clients from website inquires, public program attendees, conferences and other channels
- Builds strong relationships with prospects through calls/video meetings, providing resources and support, timely responses to email and occasionally in-person meetings
- Manages a large number of prospect situations simultaneously
- Assesses business opportunities, clear and compelling representation of SIYLI, and ability to adapt proposals to meet client needs while keeping aligned with SIYLI program development capabilities
- Regularly follows up until a deal closes or until it is clear it will not close
- Consistently closes new business
- Tracks all sales activities in Salesforce
- Manages the client relationship and delivers SIY programs in partnership with the program coordinator
- Generates sales forecasts
- Regularly shares and tracks customer feedback from sales discussions and customer programs
- Assesses market needs and share insights with program development and marketing teams
- Supports the development of the overall strategic plan
- Organized and responsive to customer requests and internal processes (~24 hour turn-around expected)
- Some travel may be needed
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of applicable experience, ideally in a client-facing role
- Strong negotiation skills, strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to talk about the subject of the SIY program clearly and communicate complex services which may require an extended engagement cycle
- Ability to manage a large number of clients and prospect situations simultaneously, performing relationship and sales activities for 30-50 accounts at once
- Experience or interest in mindfulness, emotional intelligence and supporting people and workplaces to be more aware and compassionate
- Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience selling employee training programs to HR or L&D professionals
- Meditation/mindfulness practice and/or coaching or teaching experience
