The historic Town Hall Theater invites applications and referrals for the position of Executive Director.
Located in the heart of Middlebury’s downtown, THT is an historic theatre space that was completely renovated in 2008 with 232 seats, excellent projection and lighting facilities, rehearsal space, a gallery, and offices. There are 6 full-time and 4 part-time staff. The annual budget for salaries, utilities, and building maintenance is $455,000. Production costs are shared with our resident companies. Its Jackson Gallery hosts 6 to 8 art installations annually. THT boasts a cutting-edge education program and a strong relationship with Middlebury College.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years’ senior management experience in the cultural sector, preferably in a performing arts venue. Responsibilities include overseeing the administrative functions of the organization, planning, organizing, and directing all fund-raising and marketing, and developing excellent relationships with the resident companies. Building a close, collaborative working relationship with the Artistic Director and the rest of this tight knit staff is essential to the success of the Executive Director and the future of THT.
