Castilleja School is a non-sectarian independent college preparatory school for young women located in the San Francisco Bay Area near Stanford University and in the heart of Silicon Valley. Founded in 1907 by Stanford graduate Mary Ishbel Lockey, the school has an enrollment of 438 girls and young women in grades six through twelve, and has a long-standing reputation for the excellence of its academic program. Castilleja educates young women by fostering their intellectual, physical, creative, and emotional growth through an exemplary college preparatory experience within a diverse and supportive community.
The Director of Events and Parent Engagement is a cross-functional management role, spanning both the Advancement Office and Operations Department at Castilleja School.
The Advancement Department at Castilleja School is responsible for securing immediate and long-term funding for the school’s priorities, and for establishing, cultivating, and maintaining meaningful relationships with our constituents in the local community and throughout the world through development initiatives, communications, alumnae relations, and events.
The Operations Department at Castilleja School is responsible for the ongoing management of the funds, assets, and personnel that undergird the day-to-day operations of the school—as well as planning for the future development and stewardship of those resources.
Working in partnership with the Chief Advancement Officer, and on behalf of the Leadership Team, the Director of Events and Parent Engagement develops administrative and operational solutions and strategies to a wide range of issues to improve processes and enhance services to support the school as a whole.
The Director of Events and Parent Engagement has daily oversight of strategic operations and events which directly support the business and fundraising priorities of Castilleja. In addition, the Director of Events and Parent Engagement is the primary point of contact with parent volunteers supporting events and similar initiatives on campus.
