Youth Support Partner Relief Position
Our Safe Place Program
Status: Weekend Relief, approximately 16 hours/month (Saturday and Sunday shifts), $15.62/hour
Specific Responsibilities: Accountable to the Program Manager to provide comprehensive trauma-informed services. Responsible for providing care and supervision in a drop-in center milieu, mentoring, positive youth development activities, initial risk assessments, and linkages with area mental health support and services as well as other needed services for LGBTQ youth. Ensure that standards relating to safety and inclusivity are maintained.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Must have lived experience identifying with LGBTQ and have received behavioral health services. Alumni’s of Our Safe Place will receive preference in hiring. Two years of supervised experience with children and adolescents including the documentation of services following a standard protocol. Experience working with LGBTQ youth and young adults preferred. Must be able to pass clearance for working with Minors. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Committed to cultural awareness. Must have good driving record and willing to use own, properly insured vehicle for the job. Must be willing to develop or possess working knowledge of trauma-informed care and dual diagnosis treatment; experience working in trauma-informed and dual diagnosis programs preferred. Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification.
