Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) is responsible for planning, implementing, supervising and assessing CASA’s operations in support of the organization’s Strategic Plan and as defined by the California Rules of Court and National CASA standards. This includes supervision of a staff of 12.2 FTE, volunteer management and development, strategic planning, fiscal accountability, fundraising and resource development, and public relations/community development. The ED builds and maintains strong relationships and partnerships and provides advocacy for CASA and children in dependency care with the dependency court, child welfare agency, community partners, donors and funding agencies, and other organizational constituencies. The ED leads the organization in best practices, provides leadership for the vision and mission of the organization oversees program goals and objectives, and interprets current applicable laws, policies, guidelines and procedures. The ED also provides support to and collaboratively works with the Board of Directors, over 200 CASA volunteers, and the ‘Friends’ group. The Executive Director must harness all of these resources to effectively implement CASA’s Strategic Plan.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Special conditions of employment: Ability to satisfactorily clear FBI and DOJ criminal justice background check, CACI, SSN and DMV screening; possession of a current driver’s license and proof of current car insurance.
Full time position: 40 hours/week (some evening and weekend work)
