Provide for the safety, guidance, & educational development of children ages 3-5;
Assist the classroom teacher with the development and implementation of required curriculum and classroom activities;
Assume responsibility of the class in the event of the teacher’s absence;
Inform teacher of unusual behavior, or symptoms of children, or relevant information from parents;
Take and record child observations;
Serve as bus monitor on assigned runs; daily upkeep and repair of equipment and materials both inside and outside.
High School Diploma or equivalent; CDA, AA or BA degree; OR willingness to enroll in a CDA program to be completed within 2 years of hire date;
One year experience working with young children preferred;
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
This position requires high stamina and the physical ability to interact with young children.
