P.A.C.E. Straight A’s Initiative focuses on the Arts, Academic, and Awareness is Achievement programs. The cultural specialists supports all cultural awareness and enrichment programming for the Straight A’s youth program for students ages 4-14 including school and community programming. P.A.C.E. Straight A’s Initiative compromises of Straight A’s Academy, Junior Leaders, HOPE Academy and P.A.C.E. Achievers.
• Develop and instruct cultural awareness activities for children and youth, including short-term and long-term plans for the class
- · Help to oversee Heritage Hall curriculum
- · Take the lead in developing weekly cultural activities and oversee the monthly cultural celebrations
- · Lead Young Black Man on the Rise and Hope Academy
Cultural Enrichment and Community Outreach Specialists will be responsible for helping to organize the two extravaganzas by making sure all cultural arts and pace achievement activities are coordinated appropriately i.e., students and families are engaged, participating and are safe in addition to overseeing art supplies and materials as needed i.e. paint, crafts, etc.
The specialists will also outreach and partner with other cultural connected organizations as well as align programming with our P.A.C.E. specialists. Lead P.A.C.E in participation in Kwanzaa, Juneteenth and Marcus Garvey community events.
Overall the specialists will most importantly help in support the day to day operations of the afterschool and collaborate with colleague i.e. homework support, cleanup, office duties, transitions, snacks, etc.
